5. Advocate for Having your Pension Plan including the Canada Pension Plan, Divest from Fossil Fuels

7. Call, Email, Text or Use Social Media to Send a Message to Your City Councilor, Your MP, and/or Your MPP about Your Concerns about Climate Change

Here are some suggestions:

  1. End fossil fuel subsidies (Federal and Provincial)
  2. Ban single-use plastics (Federal, Provincial, and Municipal)
  3. Use COVID-19 emergency policies to kick-start green technologies, and worker training and industry re-tooling,  and oil well remediation (Federal, Provincial)
  4. Pension plan fossil fuel divestment (Federal, Provincial, Municipal, and private)
  5. For example: Both Canada and the City of Toronto have declared a climate emergency. Now, as the weakness in our social programs and the impact of COVID-19 on the vulnerable is clear, take time to make this point to our politicians.
