I am writing because of my concern that the provincial government may arbitrarily change the ward boundaries of the City of Toronto in the middle of our current election.
This is an unacceptable move that will double the number of constituents per councillor and is being done without public consultation.
I urge you to withdraw this bill and oppose any attempt to change ward boundaries in Toronto. Toronto has already gone through a process of consultation that led to its current number of wards, and they are based on expected population growth.
I urge you to respect Toronto's choices regarding municipal political representation.
