BEYOND CRISIS is a film made by Toronto film-maker Kai Reimer-Watts who will be in attendance for Q and A after the screenings.

TRANSFORMTO CAMPAIGN UPDATE

Thank you for signing the petition supporting Toronto’s climate action plan TransformTO. This plan was adopted by City Council in July, but the Mayor asked that the recommendations it contained be ranked based on cost effectiveness.  We fear that the Mayor is looking to only fund those initiatives that give the biggest reductions for the least amount of money spent.  For Toronto to meet its climate targets, TransformTO needs to be fully implemented.  We are asking the Mayor and Councillors to vote for full funding in the coming Budget.

To reach our goals of full funding we are doing three things this fall:

  1. Circulating a new petition to fully fund TransformTO in the 2018 City of Toronto budget

  2. Providing training for our supporters in how to lobby your local councillor, write letters, and give a deputation (These deputations will be held in January). Our  first training will be Downtown on Wednesday Nov. 8th.

  3. Reaching out to new people across the city through a series of film screenings in Scarborough, Etobicoke, North York and Downtown.

With your help we can accomplish the goal of full funding!

Help us get the word about the film showings this month! Please join us, and invite your friends.
