Betty Muir

Having always been concerned about global warming and climate change, I started my own group, Climate Change Toronto to raise awareness and educate people about the most up to date climate change news and data and encourage dialogue about the problems and solutions to mitigate climate change. When I heard about the Hungry for Leadership Fast and Vigil, I volunteered right away.

By the time every doubt is erased it could be too late to take action to control the risks of climate change. And it is immoral for our government not to take action, knowing that our children and grandchildren will suffer the consequences. This is the purpose of our fast and vigil ... to draw attention to this dire need for our government to act now
