FRIDAYS FOR FUTURE! FILM SCREENING - YOUTH UNSTOPPABLE - MARCH 14 - 7 PM 60 Lowther Ave.

YOUTH UNSTOPPABLE  takes us inside the rise of the Global Youth Climate Movement as seen through the eyes of a young filmmaker, Slater Jewell-Kemker, who was 15 when she began documenting the untold stories of youth around the world standing up for a green, sustainable future that they refuse to let slip away. Over the course of ten years and set against stunning visuals of a planet in crisis, YOUTH UNSTOPPABLE is about the evolution of one young activist and a diverse network of youth rising up to demand a say in the decision making process that is shaping the world they live in.
AFTER THE FILM  Discussion with Sophia Mathur from Sudbury, First young person to school strike in Canada in November 2018. COST: $15, students $5, families (up to 4) $25 -  Please purchase individual tickets on Eventbrite. To reserve family tickets and student tickets, please email  lyn@climatefast.ca

NEXT CLIMATESTRIKE MARCH 15 - with SOPHIA MATHUR - first youth to strike for climate in N. America - QUEEN’S PARK 12:30 - 2, and also a prep session 10 - 12 am and planning meeting 2:30 - 5

The #fridaysforfuture #climatestrike youth initiative is one of the most exciting campaigns pressing for urgent climate action. ClimateFast is providing support for a full day of activities March 15.

March 15 is during the March break, and so it is not a school strike day here in Ontario, but we are holding this day of action because it is a big school strike day worldwide and youth in Toronto want to be part of the action.

We will walk together to Queen’s Park at 12 noon. Refreshments and planning meeting for April 5 th  and May 3 rd  events at 2:30 pm. All welcome! We’ll have a youth planning session with Sophia Mathur and an adult planning session too. Morning and afternoon meetings are at Friends House, 60 Lowther Ave. St. George station, Bedford exit.  To connect with Fridays for Future organizing and to send your outreach ideas please email:  fridaysforfuture@climatefast.ca . May 3 rd  will be a national day of action and we’d like it to be BIG.
